What does this mean in concrete terms? Those driving at night on an unlit country road see obstacles, wildlife crossings, or suddenly appearing pedestrians earlier – giving them more time to react. Studies show that a large proportion of serious night accidents are due to poor visibility. Better LED headlights are therefore not a comfort upgrade, but a real safety gain.
The color temperature of 6000 Kelvin also contributes to this: the cool white light is similar to daylight and allows for significantly better contrast perception than the yellowish light of conventional halogen lamps – a noticeable difference, especially in rain or fog.
Installation in minutes, lifespan in years
Anyone who has ever changed a halogen lamp will immediately recognize the Night Breaker LED Speed H7 450 – it has exactly the same dimensions as a normal H7 lamp. No adapter, no caps, no external control unit. Simply remove the old halogen lamp, insert the new LED headlights – done.
Osram has integrated the LEDEC02 Error Canceller directly into the lamp. This means: no flickering, no error message in the cockpit during the cold lamp test. Anyone who has had bad experiences with cheap retrofit LEDs knows how annoying that can be.
In addition, there is a lifespan that, according to Osram, is up to six times longer than with conventional halogen lamps – with up to 60% less energy consumption at the same time.
